You are about to take a step in your personal growth or you have recently registered. But what personal data does ICM actually collect? And for what purpose do we collect that data? We appreciate the trust you place in us and will therefore handle personal data with due care. ICM respects your privacy. With this privacy statement we want to clarify why we collect certain information and how we protect your privacy.
ICM opleidingen & trainingen B.V. is responsible for the processing of your personal data and acts in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation. In addition, we are ISO 27001 certified, which means that we meet the international standard for information security.

Which data is processed?
We collect data that you provide to us in the following situations.
- When registering for a course
- When requesting a brochure
- When requesting contact by email or telephone
- When you sign up for the newsletter
- When applying for a vacancy (unsolicited application)
- Whilst taking a course
- Whilst attending an event
ICM collects the following data relating to your course: course name, preferred start time, preferred location, attendance, course feedback, course results. In addition, we collect the following personal data: name, surname, date of birth, postal address, email, telephone number, educational level and position.
In case of job applications we collect the following data: first and last name, email address, telephone number, gender, curriculum vitae (including the information stated therein) and motivation for the application.
As regards invoicing we ask the following: is the registration for business purposes, do you require an invoice with or without VAT, billing address, contact person.
At our events, photos may be taken by a photographer. We use these photos for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the photographer and/or the organisation during the event.

For what purpose is your data processed?
Course
In order to participate in a course, we require your registration. By registering, you give ICM permission to process your personal data. This information is used for customer administration, invoicing and providing access to (online) course materials and (electronic) sending of information about (E-learning) courses or training, survey(s) to improve our services, and related products and services of ICM. In addition, your data is hashed (the data is converted into codes so that it is anonymised) and sent to Google Ads to optimise our campaigns. During the intake, we ask for information regarding your work experience and learning goals. Our teacher trainers have access to your data to design the programme and ensure it meets your learning needs as much as possible.
Newsletter
In addition to information about your course, you can also indicate whether you would like to receive mailings with inspiration and offers from ICM. You can, of course, change your preferences at the bottom of the email or unsubscribe from all mailings at any time.
Job applications
To apply for a position with us, we need the following information (as stated above): your first name and surname, email address, telephone number, gender, curriculum vitae (including the information stated therein), and your motivation for the application. We need this information to recruit and select suitable employees, interns and/or trainers. The information you provide will be used solely for the purpose of your application.
In addition to the aforesaid purposes, we process certain personal data by means of hashing (SHA256). This data is shared anonymously with advertising platforms such as Google Ads. The purpose of this is to improve the quality of our advertising campaigns and to better tailor them to your potential interests. The use of hashed data ensures that it cannot be traced back to you as an individual by third parties. You can always contact us if you have any questions or objections about this.

Retention period
Course
After your course ends, your personal data will not be automatically deleted. The retention period of your data is determined based on your development path and learning needs. You retain access to your personal learning environment and can continue learning online. You may request to have your account deleted at any time by sending an email to privacy@icm.nl.
Job applications
We store your data for a maximum of 1 year and then delete it. If you become our new colleague, we will keep your data for as long as necessary.

Who can access my data?
ICM will not make your data available to third parties, unless this is necessary for the performance of our services to you. We believe personal contact is important, so you will be in direct contact with the teacher/trainer. He or she has access to your contact details to be able to support you during the course, where necessary. ICM is the controller of your personal data and our teacher/trainers are the processors. Under Article 28 of the GDPR, the processing carried out by a processor for a controller must be governed by an (data processing) agreement. All our teachers/trainers have signed a data processing agreement to protect your personal data and guarantee your privacy. In addition, we are ISO 27001 certified, which means that we meet the strict international standard for information security. Your data will not be sold to third parties and is protected against misuse and access by unauthorised persons.

Changes
This privacy statement is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and was last amended on 24/10/2024. We recommend that you read the privacy statement regularly to stay informed of any changes.

What rights do I have?
As an ICM student, you have a number of rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- The right to data portability. The right to transfer personal data to another controller, at your request.
- The right to instruct ICM to permanently delete all your data from our system.
- Right to inspection. The right to see what data we process about you.
- Right to rectification and supplementation. The right to adjust or modify personal data.
- The right to restriction of processing: The right to have less data processed.
- The right relating to automated decision-making and profiling. In other words: the right to a human perspective on decisions.
- The right to object to data processing.

Cookies
Cookies are small, simple text files that your computer, tablet or mobile phone receives when you visit a website. The information stored in the cookies is used to optimise the website, but can also be used by other parties to collect data. For example, think of data such as your click behaviour. Questions or comments?
As a student, you have the right to digitally withdraw your consent to the processing of (personal) data at any time. You can do this by sending an email to privacy@icm.nl.
Are you an applicant and would you like to view, change or delete your data? Send an email to werken@icm.nl and we will process your request as soon as possible (within 10 working days at the latest). We do everything we can to serve you to the best of our ability. Yet sometimes we are unable to reach an agreement with you. In that case, you can file a complaint at werken@icm.nl and we will contact you.
